LESSONS FROM THE 2024 AMERICAN ELECTIONS

I just couldn’t help but feel bad for all the people who voted for one candidate or the other and the candidate lost. Others were soo shocked by the results at the end and the various ways in which they showed their shock is best left for another discussion.

From where I stood as a Ghanaian, it was soo obvious who was going to win the elections. If the American people were the American people the whole world knew them to be, then their choice was very much obvious.

The American elections has taught me soo many lessons and I would like to share them with you. These are just my opinions:

1. Don’t put your whole trust in polls.
2. Don’t believe all that you hear in the media, research and get to know the facts for yourself
3. Don’t underestimate the power of TRUTH, It always comes out in the end.
4. There’s an Akan proverb that says “Kwasia ani ti aaa , na agoro no agu”  which literally translates as “When the fool becomes wise, then the joke/play is over. That’s exactly what happened.  There were many stories and lies  told that when people got to know the truth for themselves they just flipped to the other side.
5. If you want to win an election go to the grassroots. Dine with them, ask them how they are doing, be genuine with them (because they can spot a fake person a mile away). Do not boss them around and tell them what they should do. Just be genuine.

6. Celebrity endorsements are over-rated
7. Name calling, Screaming, shouting and being angry simply does not win you an election.
8. You cannot be all things to all people. It just does not work.
9. When you pick a side , stay on it, don’t keep shuffling in between posts. No- one will take you seriously.
10. The people you meet on your way up, are the same people you will meet on your way down, so treat people well both privately and in public, especially when they helped you get up there.
11. Never ever “play” with the traditional Family system. That is the one thing  that when destroyed then its game over.
12. Don’t mess with people’s kids, especially when you make it possible for boys/ men to enter girls/womens’ washrooms by a swipe of the mighty pen. Fathers will come get you for putting their daughters in harms way by the power of their vote.
13. TAKE THE GOD FACTOR OUT AND YOU ARE DONE. PUT THE BIBLES BACK INTO THE SCHOOLS. #DONALDTRUMP, #USELECTIONS2024, #AMERICA, #MAGA
